Dear PPE Families,
The PPE administration and office staff would like to thank everyone for the generosity shown to us during the holiday season.  From the homemade goodies to the many acts of kindness, your thoughtfulness was appreciated very much.

All students who will be attending PPE’s Night with the Bisons on Monday evening have been asked to arrive around 6:00 p.m.in the lobby of Allen Arena to meet Lipscomb representative Alicia and receive instructions on the “high five tunnel”.

Your partner in education,
Melinda Wiliams

Survey Says...
Thanks to all who returned the strategic plan surveys. The next step is to put our heads together and craft the new three-year plan. Save the date -- Monday, Jan. 30, 6:30-8:30pm. Our PTO meeting that night will be in the brand new library. Look for details in next week’s eblast.

PTO Tax Help Wanted
If you have experience filing taxes for non-profits or know someone who would be willing to help the PTO, please contact  Leslie Hudson.

Calling all shutterbugs!
The yearbook committee is compiling the 2011-12 PPE yearbook and needs your help. We need photos of various school events - Family Picnic, fall family event, extracurricular activities, field trips, holiday parties, musical programs, classroom activities, etc. Please submit your digital photos to Colleen Neel (942-8308) and Angie Howard (385-8183) either by email or by copying them to CD and leaving them in the school office no later than January 27. Please note that all yearbook photos must be high resolution; we are unable to use most cell phone photos due to low resolution.

PPE’s Next Top Model!
Mrs.Twitchel is doing a photo project for Percy Priest and needs students who have a great book-character costume.  If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact her.  The photo shoot will take place within the next two weeks.  Props would be a great addition. No payment given for modeling but you just might see YOUR child’s photo on school walls in the near future.

Read-A-Thon Ready?
Read-A-Thon is just around the corner and we know this year will be a huge success. This a fun, 3-week reading contest to raise money and get our children to fall in love with reading. We will begin the first of February and ask our Percy Priest Tigers to read books on each child's level and get sponsored for doing so. We also do lots of fun things during this period to get the kid's excited. We know books build brains so get ready for some big brains come March! Look for more information in the coming weeks.

Bookworms Wanted
The PPE used book sale will be here Jan. 30 and we are collecting gently used and new kid’s books now, including chapter books. Please place your donated books in the bins in the school lobby.
