Thanks for Giving!
Bake Sale: The PTO is proud to announce that PPE raised over $1300! This huge amount is due to school wide participation and the excellent leadership of Kelly Stanford and Kelly McMullen. We are using some of the proceeds to buy traffic safety cones for Cole Elementary in Antioch. More info to come in January about how we will help other schools or non-profits with the funds we raised.

Two Trucks to Hold it All: We filled two trucks with much-needed warm clothes and will deliver them to the kids at Cole Elementary this week. They are so thankful their students now have winter SSA clothes to wear!

Support Staff Gift: We collected over $3000 toward our holiday gift for the PPE Support Staff! That’s an unbelievable response and will be a wonderful way for us to express our appreciation to those special people.

Wanted: Yearbook Photos
We're working on the 2011-2012 PPE yearbook and need your help! We need photos of various school activities: classroom projects, field trips, music programs, art shows, extracurricular activities and special events. Please take some time over the holiday break to sort through your photos from the first semester.  We need lots of photos from each classroom!

The yearbook will be created electronically, so digital photos are preferred. You may email photos to Angie Howard and Colleen Neel or copy them to a CD and leave them in the school office. Even better, upload the photos to your classroom photo sharing website.

Survey Says...
129 yellow surveys came back to us. Thanks for the great response. Next up will be a PTO Town Hall meeting where we will ask for your specific ideas on how to improve PPE. From that meeting we will begin to craft our three-year strategic plan. Watch for that date in January and plan to join us. - The Policy/Planning Committee

No PPE Basketball Practice
PPE will not be open for basketball practice at nights during the holidays. Our custodians will not be working nights. Tiger Club will be using the gym during the day so it will be unavailable for practice. Tuesday, January 3rd will be the first practice date.

Winter Indoor Soccer Starts Jan 15!
