Hook-up Line Instructions

• Follow the directions of the Crossing Guard and Traffic Volunteers.
• If you are traveling West on Otter Creek Rd, you MUST turn RIGHT onto Robert E. Lee and LEFT onto E. Ashland to Priest Rd.
• From Hillsboro to Otter Creek, turn LEFT onto E. Ashland and follow to Priest Rd.
• From Tyne, turn onto Robert E. Lee then RIGHT onto E. Ashland to Priest Rd.
• NO LEFT TURNS into school during arrival and dismissal.
• NO LEFT TURNS onto Priest Rd during arrival and dismissal.
• NEVER pass a row of waiting cars. Keep your place in line and move forward as cars unload.
• DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CUT LINE even just to enter the parking area.
• NO CELL PHONE USE in the car rider line.
• Put your car in PARK when loading and unloading students.
• It is UNLAWFUL to pass a school bus. Wait behind the bus until it is loaded or unloaded and you can move forward. Or follow signal of traffic directors.
  
• Parents, do not get out of your car in the car rider line. Staff will be on hand to assist students who need help exiting cars. Getting out of your car delays the line for other students.
• Consider alternatives such as walking, riding the bus or carpooling.
• If you must drive your child to school, please plan on arriving earlier.
  

NEVER BLOCK THE DRIVEWAY ENTRY. Buses must be able to enter. We also have volunteers & contractors who need to exit the parking area.

• If you are picking up for early dismissal in the afternoon, PARK in one of the visitor lots & WALK to the office. Do not stop in the driveway as this blocks traffic & may result in you being blocked in.
• Form a SINGLE line in the morning. Unload your child only when you are between the orange tiger paws.
• The second line in the afternoon should be EIGHT CARS ONLY ending at the PPE mailbox. Buses must be able to get through the circle. Follow teacher signals.
• Last car in the driveway should be at the "No Cell Phone" sign. The next car should be waiting on the shoulder on Otter Creek until the line moves forward.
• REMEMBER: NO LEFT TURNS into the driveway from Otter Creek between 7:30 to 8:00 am and 2:30 to 3:00 pm.
• Always put your car in park when loading/unloading & follow the instructions of the PPE faculty.
