Music

Our music program incorporates Dalcroze Eurythmic techniques and Solfege and Orff-Shulmerk concepts with an emphasis on multiculturalism. The instructor offers a wide variety of participatory activities to foster musical growth through speech, movement, song, instruments, and listening. In music class, students integrate kinesthetic, tactile, aural, and visual learning as suggested by state and local standards. Our music room was expanded and renovated to allow more movement and exploration in music. The music teacher organizes and presents up to five full-scale musical performances (one per grade level) each year.
