Congratulations to Don Kendall, father of PPE 4th grader Griffin Kendall, who was recently named “Kraft CPA Board Member of the Year” for his work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.
Don spearheaded the school mentoring program at Percy Priest, and served as a Big Brother to a PPE student for 3 years. While Big Brothers Big Sisters is not currently active at Percy Priest, many of the matches made at Percy Priest have carried over to sitebased programs at JT Moore Middle School and Carter Lawrence Elementary, where many former Percy Priest students now attend school.
Kendall encourages anyone who is interested in making a difference in the life of a child to get involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters. “It’s a one hour weekly investment that promises significant returns on both a personal and community level.” For more information about Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, contact Anne Gallo at 329-9191
