How To Register For School

Kindergarten registration opened March 22nd. If you have yet to register your child or you are new to the PPE community please see below for all the necessary forms to register your child at Percy Priest Elementary School. Download the provided PDF's. Please register your child as soon as possible even after the registration period has passed. It helps PPE plan for staffing.

Be Between the Paws

Always "be between the paws" when loading and unloading. And never pass a car in the paws. Enter and exit single file and follow the signals given by the teacher working traffic. For the safety of our students thank you for following these guidelines.

Community Connections

Hurray! Homework Hotline opens Monday, August 16

Last year, Homework Hotline answered 24,118 calls from struggling middle-Tennessee students in grades K - 12. That's 4.32 times more calls, or an increase of 432%, from the first year Hotline was open in 1990.

About Invest

INVEST 2010 IS UNDERWAY.
Lots of preparation and planning went on over the summer by our wonderful INVEST team. Our theme this year is "Landmark Foundations" featuring our Percy Priest spirit wear magnet as it traveled Nashville to represent Percy Priest as the future of our community. And the foundations we lay now in our children's education will insure the success of their future and reflect on the future of Nashville. Education is a landmark event in a child's life and can mark a unique or important historical change of course or one on which important developments depend. We hope you will be generous with your gift to insure Percy Priest can provide such a landmark education.

Beginning of the Year Family Picnic

THE PERCY PRIEST FAMILY PICNIC is next Friday, August 27, at 5:30 p.m. on the playground. This is a fantastic way to get to know other PPE families! Bring your blanket and a picnic dinner, and come and meet new friends or visit with old ones. Drinks, live music, and fun provided by the PTO!

Always look for this event during the first few weeks of school. Held on the PPE playground, it’s great fun for the whole family.

FINAL Kindergarten Popsicle Party

FINAL POPSICLE PARTY for Rising Kindergarteners will be held Sunday July 25th at 4pm.
Meet your classmates and have some popsicles provided by the PPE PTO! Meet us on the upper playground for an afternoon of fun.

Art News!

Recycle material needed for art class.
The art department is collecting some recycle materials for storing paint and keeping it fresh between classes and for a wonderful Chihuly-inspired project so if you have these things at home and could send them in ASAP, we would appreciate it! Thanks so much!

• plastic bread bags

• empty, plastic water bottles of all sizes without the caps

• puffy paint you might have left from a past project
