MNPS Extends School Day for Snow Days

Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Metro Nashville Board of Education approved a plan to extend the school day at all MNPS schools by 30 minutes for a 26-day window this spring. This extra learning time will help the district to make up two school days missed as a result of snow. Click here for more information.

Weather Policy / Snow Days

What happens if we get a snow day?
Please review the weather procedures on the Metro website. If it snows overnight MNPS will activate the call out system to notify families between 4 and 5 am by phone that school will be closed. All normal media notifications as well as the MNPS website will have the closure posted.

Be Between the Paws

Always "be between the paws" when loading and unloading. And never pass a car in the paws. Enter and exit single file and follow the signals given by the teacher working traffic. For the safety of our students thank you for following these guidelines.
