Third Grade!
Greetings from third grade! We are rocking and rolling this school year! Third grade is a very big year, not only in physical growth, but emotional and mental growth as well. Our students are very eager, with tons of enthusiasm. They begin to be able to self-evaluate their choices and work on becoming more responsible citizens.
Most third graders are developing a strong sense of right and wrong, and their individual differences are becoming distinct and clear. Third graders have so many fabulous opportunities that help learning relate to the world. Our field trips include the Frist Museum, Children’s Theatre, a Symphony Performance, the well-known and very coveted Nashville Downtown Walking Tour (with lunch at the Spaghetti Factory), as well as some “in-house” field trips. Our children take a “Continental Tour” and also learn about the holidays around the world. We have so many other things to look forward to in third grade-- Native American stories, the Clay Lady, our first research paper, the Science Fair; the list goes on and on!
As the year culminates, our third graders somehow turn into rising fourth graders—the leaders of our school! We can’t wait for you to see how much we grow!
