As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, January 18 in honor of Martin Luter King, Jr. Day.
Here is what we’ll be up to for the short week ahead:
- In ELA we will be learning more about animal adaptations. We will use what we have learned over the last few weeks and apply it to writing. Students will be working on constructed responses to a text. We will also continue to study conjunctions. Phonics will continue as usual.
- In Math we will begin our study of fractions. We will work this week on partitioning shapes into equal parts and naming the parts.
- In Science we’ll study animal behavior and animal groups.
- Social Studies will be asynchronous this week. Students will be reading in Weekly Reader (15) and will learn about Native Americans.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
