What a wonderful week in third grade! We were happy to welcome back most of our third graders into the building! Don’t forget, Monday, February 15 is President’s Day, and there is no school for students.
If your child is in-person learning, please make sure that they come to school with a jacket. Next week is looking like it will be a cold one!
Next week we’ll be learning lots. Here’s what we’ll be up to.
- In ELA, we are going to be reading Native American folktales. We’ll learn about Native Americans from the Northeast tribes and Southeast tribes. We will also be reading an incredibly interesting text about the “mysteries of Roanoke.” If you don’t know this story, just wait until you hear about it from your child!
- In Math, we’ll continue our study of fractions. This week our focus will be on equivalent fractions.
- In Science next week we will learn about weather, climate, and weather tools.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
