Hello Families!

We hope that you are doing well! Thank you for being flexible with us about the PTO meeting.  We’ll let you know as soon as possible once a new date is set.

September 24th is the Tiger Cup!  Please visit the website for more information.

Here’s what we’ll be up to this week:

ELA–We will continue with our guiding question: “How do writers create stories using their own experiences?”.  Our focus this week will be on more Patricia Polacco books:Rechenka’s Eggs and My Rotten Redheaded Older Brother. We will also begin learning about verbs.

MATH–We will continue with our exploration of multiplication strategies.  We’ll focus this week on math tasks that ask students to apply their knowledge of multiplication strategies to solve problems.  Our fact focus for the week is multiples of 5.  We ask that students are practicing multiples of 0, 1, 2, 5, and 10 at home.

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES–In Science, we’ll begin a study of ecosystems.  For Social Studies, we will continue our study of landforms and bodies of water.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.  Thanks!
