Dear Percy Priest Families,

We enjoyed meeting many new PPE grandparents and friends yesterday at our annual Grandparents Day Thanksgiving Luncheon. Hopefully, they enjoyed visiting Percy Priest and eating with their special PPE tiger(s) and friends. All of us are thankful for our families who made this day so happen.

The first semester of the 2019-20 school year is quickly coming to an end. We have completed our first quarter and are over half-way through the second nine weeks. There will be three weeks remaining of this quarter following Thanksgiving break! Many of you met with your child’s teachers during parent conferences earlier this month to learn more about your child’s academic progress and how you can support them throughout the rest of this school year.

As we reflect on the many things for which we are thankful, we want to take this opportunity to share a few of them with you:

  • We are thankful for our students who come to school every day ready to learn – they give us all a daily reminder of what is important and why we are here.
  • We are thankful for our parents in creating an outstanding partnership for our students.
  • We are thankful for our PPE faculty and staff who not only care about student growth and academic achievement, but forming relationships with you and your PPE tiger.
  • We are also thankful for our many parent volunteers who willingly contribute so much to PPE.

We would like to wish all of you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

Thankful and Blessed,

Mrs. Melinda Williams, Principal
Mr. Mark Mason, Assistant Principal
