Dear PPE Families,
What a great turn out at Open House on Thursday night! It was so nice to meet several new families and see many of you who have been a part of the PPE community for a few years.
It is important for us to have the opportunity to share the expectations, daily routine and learning that goes on in the classroom with you. We hope that it was informative, as well as fun (as all learning should be) for you!
If you have not heard the good news, Percy Priest Elementary School was named a Tennessee Reward School by the TN Department of Education for 2019! PPE earned this award by having both high academic achievement and student growth as measured by TNReady state assessment, along with low chronic absenteeism. Please join me in congratulating our wonderful faculty and staff, students, and you, our supportive parents, for making this possible.
The MNPS Student-Parent Handbook for 2019-20 can be found here. You are encouraged to take full advantage of the resources and information provided in this handbook. While not all of the material may apply to you and your child, there is essential information contained in the handbook that will help you interact with PPE and be the best advocate for your child’s educational needs. Engaged parents are critical partners in student success. The more you know, the more you can be involved – and we want you to be fully involved!
Your partners in education,
Mrs. Melinda Williams, Principal
Mr. Mark Mason, Assistant Principal
