Each December we say thank you to the support staff (front office staff, custodians, cafe employees, paraprofessionals, workroom assistants, nurse, crossing guard and library clerk) for their tireless work and dedication to Percy Priest Elementary! An envelope went home last Friday in your student's folder. If you would like to join in a school-wide gift for these amazing individuals, please send your donation (cash or checks made out to PPE PTO) in the envelope addressed as “staff gift”. PPE 4th grade Girl Scout Troop 427 needs your help to help others. They have challenged PPE tigers to help them reach their service project goal. They want to raise $500 worth of gift cards for teens and tweens for The Last Minute Toy Store. The collection boxes for gift cards and items for Open Table Nashville are located in the front lobby.
Upon returning from winter break, my Spanish classes will participate in a cultural activity and celebrate Three King’s Day. I will need 1 volunteer from each classroom to make special cupcakes for the activity. The celebrations will take place during Spanish class the week we return from winter break (January 8-14). Please bake white or yellow cupcakes. After baking the cupcakes, hide a small piece of candy inside one of the cupcakes. Then top with your child’s favorite icing! The candy represents one of the king’s jewels, so please use something colorful like a Skittle, a Jolly Rancher, a peppermint, etc. [...]
