Hello families! Happy Fall Break!  We hope that you all have a safe and happy week. We will see you back at school on Monday, October 22. Here are some important dates: October 24--Class pictures and fall retakes. Report Cards will also be issued. October 31--Harvest Parties, 1:00-2:00 in your child's classroom. Hello families! We hope that you had a wonderful week! Thank you so much for bringing in canned goods for Second Harvest food bank.  We could still use more help!  The most needed items are: peanut butter, canned meats, canned vegetables, canned fruits, rice & beans, macaroni & cheese, pasta, and cereal.  Thank you for your generosity. Hello families! Can you believe the end of the first semester is October 5th?!?! Here is what we'll be up to next week: ELA: We will complete our culminating writing task.  Our focus question has been, "How do writers create stories using their own experiences?".  Using the texts we have read, students will respond to the following prompt: "Using details from the texts, pick a person from Patricia Polacco’s life and explain how they impacted her books". 3rd Grade News August 27th-31st We have had a great week starting our learning routines in each subject area! Thank you all for returning signed pledge cards so our students can get their free icee at Granny White Market (coupons will go home in Friday folders)!
