3rd Grade News: 10/1

Hello, families!

We have almost successfully completed our first nine weeks of the school year! We are so proud of our students and how hard they have worked during this unique time.

Next week we will be continuing to practice multiplying by 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, 5’s, and 10’s. Thank you for assisting with these facts. Please contact your child’s teacher if you need additional multiplication fluency resources.

Here is what we will be learning about next week:

ELA: Reading the text The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteu, practicing reading and writing strategies through this text. We are continuing our exploration of the sea.

Math: Finishing division unit
Social Studies: Important Countries Around the World (Political Maps) and Important Landforms Around the World (Physical Maps)

Dates to Look Forward To:

  • October 8th-In-Service Day (No school for students)
  • October 11th-15th-Fall Break!
  • October 28th-Harvest Parties
  • October 29th-Parent/Teacher Conferences
