4th Grade News: 10/1

We’ve got spirit, yes we do! What a great kick-off to House Spirit Day this Friday! It’s been such a great week with our fabulous fourth graders. Please see below for important reminders and information on the week ahead.

Quick Reminders:

Dashboard Sign-Up:
Please help us by signing up for the Infinite Campus Dashboard. Download this pdf with step-by-step directions. Contact Ms. Cathy for your personalized activation key code. (Catherine.gerald@mnps.org). Our goal is to have all families signed up for Dashboard by Thursday, October 7. Thank you for your help!

Checking Grades:
Please check your child’s grades in Schoology and look for any incomplete or missing assignments (or assignments they may want to retake). The first quarter will end on October 7 and all assignments must be completed by the end of the day.

  • To check grades and look for assignments:
  • Login to Schoology through Clever (on your child’s account)
  • Select the Course for the grades you want to see
  • Click on “Grades” on the left side of the screen
  • Your child’s grades for that course will show up. If you see “-” this means the assignment has not been assigned to your child yet. All missing/incomplete assignments are labeled either missing or incomplete. Missing assignments are calculated as “0” and incomplete assignments have not been added to your grade yet. If incomplete assignments are not completed before October 7, they will become missing assignments and will be calculated as “0”.

Standard School Attire:
Please remember that PPE athletic shorts and skorts should be saved for Fridays. PPE shirts and hoodies may be worn anytime during the week. If it’s not a PPE hoodie/sweatshirt, it should be a solid color sweater or sweatshirt.

Book’Em Book Drive:
Thank you for all the donations thus far! As a reminder, students may donate new or gently used books for our school-wide service project through October 7. We appreciate your support for this amazing local organization!
