Parents – Thank you so much for your enthusiasm for and support of the Robert Churchwell Elementary coat and PJ drive – we finished deliveries this week with over 150 coats donated and nearly as many pair of pajamas! Robert Churchwell has less than 300 students total, so we’ve very likely supported EVERY student who needed a coat this winter. The final drop off on Tuesday of this week was filled with gratitude and emotion, especially as we’d gotten the news by then that students would be back in buildings starting next week. Coats on school buses and chilly morning walks to the school, which sits right in the middle of its zoned neighborhood with lots of “walkers,” will now be even more necessary and appreciated. Thanks again, and be on the lookout for a new effort soon – with students in schools, extra COVID-related needs will soon become even easier to identify among our MNPS family. You’re all the best and a big part of what makes Nashville great.
