2nd Grade Newsletter – November 14th, 2025

Ask your 2nd Grader:

  • What is the title of the new book you are reading in W&W?  (Journey of a Pioneer)
  • What do the words pioneer and prairie mean?
  • Where is Olivia’s family moving to (in the book Journey of a Pioneer)?
  • When many wagons travel together, what is the group of wagons called? (a wagon train)
  • What words should always be capitalized? (months, days, holidays, street names, states, cities, I, names of brands, etc.)
  • How do you make words plural?  (add -s/-es)  Some plurals are irregular.  What is the plural for ox, foot, child?
  • Is this true. . .  64 is equal to 6 tens and 4 ones?  (64 = 6 tens and 4 ones – yes) 
  • How would you write 78 is less than 84 with numbers and symbols? ( 78<84)
