Ask your 2nd Grader:
- What is the name of the new text we are reading in Wit & Wisdom? (The Legend of the Bluebonnet by Tomie de Paola
- What is a legend? (a story passed on through word of mouth; like a folktale)
- Who is the main character? (She-Who-Is-Alone)
- What is a plural noun? (a word that names more than one thing)
- What do you add to the end of the following words to make them plural – watch, boy, fox, dish, book? (watches, boys, foxes, dishes, books)
- What are some strategies you can use to solve 2 digit addition and subtraction problems? (pictorial model, number line, using place value)
