Please remember to be a considerate neighbor when parking and be aware of car and bus traffic!

The 2025 – 2026 Handbook – Your One Stop Shop

Got questions? Of course you do! That’s expected, so we put a ton of frequently asked questions about the first day and our school procedures in this handy dandy handbook. You’ll find everything from a glossary of PPE lingo to instructions for drop off and pick up. Still have questions? That’s ok! Your teacher can help answer any questions, as can a quick email to comm@percypriest.org.

| Last Day! | Attention Kindergarten and Pre-K Parents!

One of the cutest things about starting kindergarten and pre-k at PPE is that the kindergarteners and pre-k kids all carry PPE orange totes so that they are easy to spot and everyone can help them to their classrooms. This comes in handy throughout the year as our little tikes get oriented to school life.  These totes are handed out at the Sneak-A-Peek or the first day of school. Totes can be monogrammed for a fee and information is included here on how to do so.  Today is the deadline for monogram orders.  The monogramming costs $20 but financial assistance is available!
Jennifer: 615.482.2432 or jennifertalbert@bellsouth.net
Cost: $20
Please text or email Jennifer with the following information by August 1st:

Polo Power-Up | Spirit Shirt Drive Launch

We’re excited to kick off our first-ever Polo Power-Up campaign at Percy Priest Elementary! This year, we’re teaming up with UniCycle—the school clothing program that started right here at PPE—to make sure every student in Nashville can start the year with confidence and pride.

How you can help:

  • Buy our new PPE Spirit Shirt from the Roar Store! For every shirt sold, we’ll purchase a brand-new SSA polo for a student in need through UniCycle.
  • Buy an extra SSA polo when you shop for your child and drop it in the UniCycle bin at school.

Most of the uniforms we collect at PPE now go to help students all across Nashville. Your generosity ensures every child has what they need to feel ready and included. Let’s show our Tiger pride and make this first Polo Power-Up a huge success—every shirt or polo you give helps a child shine!

Save the date: September 8th at Old Natchez Country Club

Registration NOW OPEN! Register and get all the details you need here. New this year: Mamas, Mahjong, and Mimosas. Want to learn how to play mahjong? Come join us!

The 2025 Summer Reading Challenge is back!
Dr. Young and Ms. Stuart are challenging all Percy Priest students (including rising kindergartners and families) to READ 100 BOOKS and SPEND 100 HOURS OUTSIDE! This optional challenge is a great way to encourage summer reading and independence and prevent the “summer slide”. Please see your child’s Friday folder this week for the challenge card. Write the title of each book read (every 50 pages of a chapter book =1 book) and color a leaf for each hour spent outside. Your child will then turn in the challenge card at the beginning of new school year and receive a prize!
Happy Summer Reading!!

Volunteers Needed for 2025-2026 School Year

We are in most immediate need of volunteers for Room Parents, our Fall Community Event, Tiger Cup, and Songwriters Night!! Our parent volunteers at Percy Priest are part of what make this community so very special. No matter how big or how small, any volunteering is greatly appreciated and never taken for granted. We know how busy your lives are and are so grateful for any of your time you can give to the school. Please use this form to sign up for the 25-26 school year. Let us know if you have any questions at comm@percypriest.org.

Online School Directory and Access to Class Lists

It’s time to update our online school directory! Please take a few minutes to sign in to the directory through the website or by downloading the Membership Toolkit app.

Returning families will be prompted to confirm/update your contact information and student details. New families will create a login and password, and then you can input family contact information as well as provide consent for your child’s name or photograph to be included on the PPE website and social media.
Don’t wait to log in!! Be sure to update/register your account by July 28 to get first access at your student’s class list! Once your information is updated, you’ll be all set to see your class list on July 31 — your new teacher will email you and lists will be posted later that day. Also, you will be asked for your student’s t-shirt size for field trip shirts, so be sure to log in soon so that we can get those ordered!
If you have any issues or questions at all, please reach out to Susan.Horton@healthtrustpg.com

Are you starting to think about Standard School Attire (SSA) for this school year?

Good news! The ROAR Store will be at the Sneak-a-peek this year selling SSA approved t-shirts, polos, skorts, shorts, polo dresses, and more. Not only are the ROAR store items so very nice and high quality, but it’s a great way to support the school as well. Here’s a good link for more details around SSA.
