2nd Grade Newsletter – January 23rd, 2026

Ask your 2nd Grader:

  • Who are 2 Civil Rights historical figures we have read about this week?
  • What does segregation mean?
  • What were 3 unjust laws that America had before the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
  • If you have a math problem such as 54 + ______ = 98, what is missing? (part) How would you solve this problem? (subtract – 98-54)
  • What are 3 different ways to solve an addition or subtraction problem?  (decomposing, number line, base ten blocks)
