Ask your 2nd Grader:

- What is the meaning of absorb? (to soak up)
- What is one thing that happens to trees in the winter? (They rest. They lose all their leaves so they can survive winter.)
- How do you show the number 513 in expanded form, word form and standard form?
- (500 +10 +3/ five hundred thirteen/513)
- What is the baseword of shrugged? (shrug) When you added -ed to the word pat, what do you have to do? (double the t and add -ed)
- What region of the United States do we live in? (Southeast region)
- What region are the Great Lakes in? (The Great Plains Region)
