Ask your 2nd Grader:
- Why Do Leaves Change Colors ? (There is less sunlight. The weather gets cooler. The tree stops producing sugar.)
- What is chlorophyll ? (the natural green pigment in the leaf)
- What is the purpose of a conclusion in an informative paragraph? (It comes at the end of the paragraph and it reinforces the topic sentence/essential idea)
- How many tens are in the number 726? (2 tens) What is the value of the underlined #? 384? 80
- What number does 3 hundreds 23 tens and 16 ones make? (536)
- What do quotation marks in a story tell you? (someone is speaking/talking)
