Dr. Young’s Weekly Message: 3/22 – 3/26

Hello Percy Priest families!  This is Dr. Young with some important information about upcoming school events.

The 4th quarter of the school year will begin this week.  This Friday there will be no school for students for spring parent conference day.

Congratulations to Ms. Temple and her family, as they welcomed their newest member, Elle Temple on Friday, March 5th.  We are also excited to announce that starting on Monday, Ms. Melinda Williams will be re-joining our team through the end of the year as assistant principal.  Please join me in welcoming Elle Temple to the world and welcoming Ms. Williams back to Percy Priest.

We are less than a month away from our PTO virtual spring auction event on April 16th.  Visit www.percypriestauction.com for details and information about the event.  Ticket packages and student boxes, complete with a decorate-it-yourself cookie and party props, are available for purchase.  There will be great items to bid on and we hope you can join us in making this an exciting event for our school community.

Families please continue to help us to stop the spread of Covid-19 by remembering the following:

· Before students leave for school, families should check them for symptoms of COVID-19. If your student or someone else at home has a temperature, cough, shortness of breath, sudden loss of taste or smell, or other COVID-19 symptoms, you must keep them at home.

·All students and staff are required to wear masks throughout their day at school.

· To protect the safety of students and staff, no visitors, including parents or guardians, will be allowed into the school at this time.

Families please remember that our PTO grade-level newsletters are a great way to stay informed regarding grade level information.  The newsletters can be reviewed online at https://percypriest.wpengine.com/latest-news/.  If you have not signed up for the newsletter you can also sign-up at any time by visiting  https://percypriest.wpengine.com/contact-us/newsletter/
