SCHOOL UPDATES
THE 2026 ARTOME ART SHOW
Art Show: Celebrating America! Red, White, Blue – We Thank You!
This Tuesday, November 10th from 5-7pm, celebrate the creativity, imagination, and incredible artistic growth of our Pre-K through 5th Grade artists by visiting the PPE cafeteria to walk through the schoolwide art gallery (framed art thanks to Artome). Ask your artist how they chose the colors of their artwork, which artist inspired their work, or which part felt most challenging to make. Stop for a picture in the photobooth, write a thank you note for a local veteran, and enjoy a cookie. Thank you notes and handmade bookmarks will be delivered to Operation Stand Down Tennessee on Veterans Day for distribution.
Preview the online art gallery HERE. Sales will go live on November 10th and end November 13th. Framed artwork made by a young artist makes for a special lasting gift. One Original and multiple Reproductions can be purchased for $35 (credit card preferred) where proceeds benefit the PPE PTO (shipping to school is no additional charge).

It’s BACK! Cue the BOOK FAIR nostalgia!
PPE’s 2026 Scholastic Book Fair will run November 2nd -November 13th .
The Scholastic Book Fair is a rite of passage, iykyk. The happiest memories! Thanks for helping give your child a lifelong love of story AND for tolerating your kids’ requests for ewallets and alllllll the scented erasers and posters that are sure to enter your home. 😉
Digital ewallets: We are only using ewallets for students’ purchases this year. You can add funds to your students’ ewallet throughout the week of the fair from any device – no need to print it out, we can see it instantly from our end. We are not accepting cash this year. Add funds HERE.
Share the Fair: When you set up an eWallet, there is an option to donate to the “Share the Fair”. Donations will ensure that every Percy Priest student has the opportunity to shop the fair. We don’t want anyone to go home without books. Thank you, thank you for your kindness!
Grandfriends’ Day: The book fair will be open for students to shop with their Grandparents and Special Friends when they visit PPE on Thursday, November 12th and Friday, November 13th.
We CAN accept credit cards this year -HURRAH! Thank you for your patience last year. Volunteers: Want to volunteer to help with bookfair on Grandfriends’ Day? Email Ms. Stuart. Don’t hesitate to reach out (emily.stuart@mnps.org) with any questions.
GRANDFRIENDS DAY 2026
November 12-13: GrandFriends Days!
A few logistics updates: Volunteers please park in the neighborhood to leave spots in parking lots open for our lovely grandfriends. Please check in at your designated time to help us keep crowds moving efficiently.
Each visit will include:
- A musical performance by the children
- A visit to their classroom
- A stop at the Book Fair in the library
Please help us spread the word and encourage your loved ones to RSVP. We can’t wait to welcome them and share this special day together!

Moore-aoke Party │November 7 at the Basement on 8th│7 pm
This adults-only (21+) parent and teacher karaoke night is back! Start practicing your favorite songs now, and if you’re not a performer, come cheer on our talented community members and enjoy the show. Tickets are $25. Let’s make some noise for Moore!
PPE GYM USE FORM
If you would like to use the PPE gym for practice the second half of the year, please fill out the interest form here. Just a reminder that we are not able to offer practice space on Saturdays or Sundays because of staffing and custodial issues. We will gather interest forms until December 4. PLEASE ONLY FILL OUT ONE REQUEST FORM PER TEAM. If we have too many requests for one day and/or time, we will draw names for who receives the spot. Everyone will be notified if and when your team has a practice spot at Percy Priest on December 11. This form is only for practice times from January to May and does not take the place of the MNPS Facility Use Forms. Once you have an approved spot at PPE, you will need to fill out those forms and have appropriate MNPS required insurance.
