2nd Grade News: 3/22

Ask your 2nd Grader:

  • What was the name of the law that was passed to end segregation in 1964?
  • What is integration?
  • What are civil rights? What are some examples of civil rights?
  • What is an array? Can you draw an array that represents the repeated addition equation 5+5+5+5? What multiplication equation would represent the array that you drew?
  • What is the title of the national anthem of the United States? Who wrote our national anthem? During what war was our national anthem written?
  • What are some of our national symbols? Which is your favorite?

    • Essential Question: How can people respond to injustice?
    • Learning Goals:
      • Generate text-based observations and questions about the I Have a Dream text.
