Students will explore drawing a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Students will solve one- and two-step problems using information in a bar graph, generate data by measuring lengths with a ruler marked with halves and fourths of an inch, and create a line plot and use it to represent and interpret data.

Over the next few weeks, students will explore various types of poems, including haikus, alliteration poems, and more. They will use their imagination and descriptive language to create a personal collection of original poems. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to express themselves, build confidence in writing, and enjoy each other’s creativity in a fun and supportive environment!
