PPE PTO Newsletter 5/23/25

Let’s hear it for the graduating 5th Grade class of Percy Priest Elementary! We are so proud of all of our scholars heading off to middle school—what a milestone! You’ve left your mark on PPE, and we hope you’ll come back to visit. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do next!

As the school year comes to a close, the PTO wants to thank the heart and soul of our school—our phenomenal teachers, dedicated staff, and the incredible leadership of our Principal and Vice Principal. Your hard work and passion create a joyful, thriving learning environment every single day.

To our amazing parents, caregivers, grand friends, and volunteers: thank you for showing up with energy, enthusiasm, and generosity all year long. From community events to fundraisers, your involvement is what makes PPE truly special. This year has been full of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories—we’re so grateful to have shared it with you.

A very special thank you to our outgoing PTO Board members—Carlin Graham, Claudia Levy, Marcy Burridge, Erin Kaiser, Kelly Reed, and Libba Alden. Your dedication over the years has helped shape the heart of our community, and your leadership has made a lasting impact. We’ll miss you and are so thankful for all you’ve done!

Have a wonderful summer, and keep an eye out for back-to-school updates before we kick off another great year at PPE!

The 2025 Summer Reading Challenge is back!
Dr. Young and Ms. Stuart are challenging all Percy Priest students (including rising kindergartners and families) to READ 100 BOOKS and SPEND 100 HOURS OUTSIDE! This optional challenge is a great way to encourage summer reading and independence and prevent the “summer slide”. Please see your child’s Friday folder this week for the challenge card. Write the title of each book read (every 50 pages of a chapter book =1 book) and color a leaf for each hour spent outside. Your child will then turn in the challenge card at the beginning of new school year and receive a prize!
Happy Summer Reading!!
