Art Portfolios!

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, K

Art portfolios have been coming home for the last week or so and the children are very excited! I hope they have been doing their homework by having an Art Show for their families! It is such an exciting and visual way to see how your child has grown this year in so many ways. Their art skills have improved, ideas have become more complex, and even the way they write their name has changed from August until now! Please take a moment to enjoy the creative adventures your child has experienced this year and the amazing artwork created along the way!

1st Grade Art Show on Tuesday!!

1st

Love is in the air and so is amazing learning! Please join us on February 14th for a lunchtime art show opening celebrating our amazing First Grade Artists! Visit school early, before the Valentine's Day Parties, to enjoy the multimedia Royal Portraits created by our first graders. The show will hang for only one week so don't miss it! We will have cookies from 12:00-1:30 in the lobby, come for a sweet treat and enjoy some royally excellent portraits. These portraits were inspired by Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation portrait, which contains many symbols. Students created weavings for the clothing, painted heads and hair, drew in the facial features, created symmetrical crowns and embellished their portraits with other found objects! So much learning packed into one beautiful creation! Hope to see you Tuesday!
