Ask your 2nd Grader:

  • What was the purpose of the March on Washington? What famous speech was delivered during that event?
  • What part of speech does an adjective describe? What are some adjectives that describe the current Percy Priest building? What are some adjectives that might describe the new Percy Priest building?
  • How many inches are in a foot? How many feet are in a yard?
  • How many centimeters are in a meter?
  • What is the difference between an import and an export?

 ELA (English Language Arts):

  • Wit and Wisdom Module 3: Civil Rights Heroes
    • Essential Question: How can people respond to injustice?
    • Learning Goals:
      • Make connections among a series of historical events in a text.
      • Examine what a text and a video have to say about the same topic: the injustices people faced before the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
      • Compare important points presented by two texts on the same topic.
      • Demonstrate an understanding of word relationships by categorizing words related to integration and segregation.
